The Middle East stand at the crossroads of East and West. It is the birthplace of Judaism, Christianity and Islam with a diverse mix of over 250 million people. Some 90% need to hear the good news of Jesus.
MECO is an international, interdenominational fellowship of evangelical Christians, serving Arab churches. The work began in 1860 in Lebanon and in 1976 merged with two missions based in Egypt. Our vision is to see Middle Eastern churches engaging in local and cross-cultural mission. We encourage and enable local churches through example, prayer, partnership, training, development, church planting and support.
