The GNP aims to share the love of Christ with the vulnerable elderly in our community. We offer short-term community-based support to clients in Tunbridge Wells who are referred through the local NHS or Social Services.

How do we help?

Our team of trained Christian volunteers, visit clients over a specified period of time to provide the extra help they need to enable them to regain their independence. Often this will be after an illness or spell in hospital.

The services we offer include:

Companionship, a chat and a listening ear

Accompanying someone to a hospital/GP appointment

Shopping for or with someone

Light housework or laundry

Telephone support

Being the eyes of those who cannot see

Form filling and letter writing

Praying for and with people

If you are compassionate with a little time to spare and have a desire to reach out with Jesus’ love to those in need, we would like to hear from you.

All our volunteers are fully trained and provided with expenses, insurance cover and pastoral support.
